Collection: Magic Ink Marker (For Seal Engraving)

A Simple and Efficient Magic Ink Transfer Method for Seal Engraving

When engraving seal materials, reversed characters must be transferred onto the seal surface, but writing mirror images with a brush can be challenging.
The Magic Ink Transfer Method offers a quick and practical solution, especially for beginners.

First, draft the characters on paper and make a monochrome photocopy. Place the copied side with black characters face down on the seal surface.
Apply marker ink evenly over the back of the paper. Before the ink dries, rub the surface gently with a flat object, such as the tip of the marker cap, to transfer the characters clearly onto the seal.

Yellow marker ink is highly recommended, as the strong contrast between black and yellow makes the transferred design easy to see and carve.
