Collection: Water Dropper (Suiteki)
Pour Water Delicately
When grinding ink on an inkstone… when you want to adjust the concentration of the ink… the tool used to pour water into the inkstone is the water dropper.
Please use it to make fine adjustments to the concentration with water that flows out little by little.
How to Use a Water Dropper
There is a hole at the top of the water dropper. Pour water in through this hole.
You can submerge it in a container filled with water or pour water directly from a faucet.
The spout is the hole on the side. First, cover the hole at the top with your finger, then tilt the water dropper.
After that, release your finger and the water will come out. Repeating this will allow you to pour one drop at a time.
About Mizusashi (Water Jars)
Additionally, pot-shaped, cylindrical, or lidded types are also called Mizusashi (water jars).
These are easier to fill with water and have larger spouts, so they are not suitable for adjusting drop by drop.
However, you can enjoy their distinctive appearance and the differences in materials unique to mizusashi.
