Collection: Seal Carving Block
Carve Seals Safely and Conveniently
To carve seals safely and enjoyably, we recommend using an "Inshō" (seal holder).
It firmly holds the seal in place instead of your left hand, allowing you to apply strength while carving. For beginners, it’s common for the carving knife to slip due to lack of experience.
Even in such cases, using a seal holder ensures safety.
Especially when carving small seals, which are hard to grip, this tool makes the process much easier.
Types of Seal Holders
There are two types of seal holders: "screw type" and "wedge type."
The screw type tightens with a screw, making it easy for anyone to use.
The wedge type is tightened with a mallet, so it won’t loosen during carving and is very durable.
The size of the seal holder you need depends on the size of the seal material you want to carve, so please check and choose accordingly.
