Text Series: Han-Dynasty Clerical Script 1 – Stele of Ritual Vessels (Hyakunō Edition)

This is one of the most representative clerical script inscriptions of the Later Han Dynasty. Highly praised for its slender, strong lines and intellectual, refined beauty, it has been praised as a masterpiece that seems like a divine work. During the Song Dynasty, it was even praised as "a work of beauty, the ultimate standard among Han inscriptions." Since the Qing Dynasty, it has been considered the first model to be studied by students of clerical script.
This is a representative piece of clerical script that is often featured in textbooks as an introduction to clerical script. It is kept at the Confucius Temple in Shandong Province.
