Text Series: Han-Dynasty Clerical Script 10 – Western Gorge Hymn

This masterpiece of Han Dynasty clerical script exudes simplicity while possessing powerful wavy lines. When we think of well-balanced clerical script, the Cao Quan Stele and the Liji Stele come to mind, but this piece exudes a strength not found in these.
The calligrapher is "Qiu Jing." This is the oldest stone monument bearing the name of its writer, carved into a rock face.
