Incense Paper Cutting is a work from the mid-Heian period.
This ancient calligraphy paper is a transcription of the lost Heian period poetry collection "Rikashu," a collection of poems from the Rikashu, a collection of poems from the Heian period whose complete edition has not been preserved. It was originally a book bound in a sticky leaf. It is said to be the work of Kooigimi, one of the Thirty-Six Immortal Poets.
This classic work is characterized by its bold, free-flowing, and ingenious flow, as well as its thin, sharp, and powerful lines.
