Manju 5.0-chō (Nihon Seiboku)

This ink is crafted from rapeseed oil soot collected at an old plum orchard, oil soot developed through years of experience and skill, and the highest quality glue. It can be used for both kanji and kana writing. The blend of the highest quality glue provides excellent spreadability, resulting in a beautiful, lustrous pure black for thick ink and an elegant pale brown-purple for light ink.

*While we have sufficient product in stock, ink is only manufactured during a limited period of the year, from November to March. If it is out of stock, you will have to wait approximately one year for the next shipment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
*Ink does not tolerate sudden temperature changes, direct sunlight, or high humidity. After use, thoroughly wipe off any moisture from the ink brush head and store it in the paulownia wood or paper box it came in, in a desk drawer or wooden box, etc.
