Trial Pack: Aoba Thick Hanshi
Trial Pack: Aoba Thick Hanshi
Low bleeding, firm brush stroke
This paper is characterized by its hard fibers, which give it a translucent feel while allowing ink to flow easily.
The white fiber knots scattered throughout add a unique character to the paper.
The paper's large variations and rough surface create a sense of resistance, resulting in minimal bleeding and difficulty for ink to penetrate deeply.
It's also possible to create a worn look, making it ideal for those seeking a distinctive style. It's also great for picture postcards.
Differences in Expression Depending on Thickness
Normal-thick paper allows the ink to spread easily horizontally, requiring less ink, allowing for lighter brush strokes.
It is also more prone to bleeding than thick paper.
If you want to avoid bleeding, choose thicker paper.
To minimize bleeding, you can increase the ink concentration.
Thick paper allows the ink to penetrate deeper into the paper, resulting in less bleeding and a sense of depth in the ink color.
Thick paper requires more ink, and because it minimizes bleeding, it is easier to create rubbing effects.
If you want to avoid rubbing, choose normal-thick paper.
We recommend that you try out normal-thick and heavy-thick paper to compare their respective advantages.
