This Inkatsu is crafted in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, a town of blades with an 800-year history.
What makes it so great is that it utilizes the techniques of Seki blacksmiths, known for their durability and exceptional sharpness.
And above all, the widest variety in the industry.
In addition to single-edged blades perfect for carving bamboo, there are 13 types in total, including our original round blade.

Features of the Seki Blacksmith Noshu Kanematsu Sakuten Engraved Knife: Koma
This Inkatsu utilizes the techniques of sword-making, beloved by many warlords since the Kamakura period for its "unbreakable, unbendable, and sharp blade." The "Doku" seal sword is crafted by Seki Blacksmith Noshu Kanematsu under the guidance and inspection of a seal carving master. Both ends of the blade are carefully sharpened to ensure easy penetration into the seal material.

Easy-to-Use Deer Leather Wrap
The blade is wrapped in genuine deer leather.
It is non-slip, reducing pain during use. The more you use it, the more it will fit your hand.

Seki Blacksmiths: One of Japan's Leading Production Areas
Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, has been famous for its swordsmithing since the Kamakura period, thanks to its high-quality clay and pine charcoal, essential for sword making, as well as its excellent water quality and convenient access to boats on the Nagara and Tsubo Rivers.
Today, these techniques are still handed down, and everyday items such as kitchen knives and nail clippers are made.

Differences between General and Professional Knives
Professional knives have a special blade steel inlay, providing even greater sharpness.
Of course, they can also be used by the general public.

Care Instructions
After use, wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth before storing.
A thin layer of oil will help prevent rust.

*Since each knife is handmade by a craftsman, some may have a slightly angled blade edge.
