Calligraphy Dictionary

This dictionary features 7,700 frequently used characters (including variants) from the "Great Calligraphy Dictionary" (published in 1974) as base characters, and includes photographs of 60,000 of each style. It also includes extensive running and cursive versions of commonly used characters.
It features numerous running scripts by Ming and Qing dynasties, making it a valuable resource for creative writing. Appendices include a summary of the history of Chinese calligraphy, a kana dictionary, a brief chronology of the history of calligraphy, and a list of calligraphers whose calligraphy is included in the collection. A comprehensive stroke index and a reading and pronunciation index at the end of the book make it easy to use.
