Collection: Red Seal Ink Paste 45g (1.5 Ryo Pack)

The Seal Color That Defines the Impression

When choosing Indei (calligraphy seal ink paste), first match it to the size of your seal stone, then select a color that best enhances your artwork.
Even within red hues, brighter vermilion and deeper crimson create very different visual effects.
Some Indei are more expensive depending on mercury content, but the most important factor is choosing a tone that aligns with your artistic intention.
The Xiling Seal Society (Seirei Insha) in Zhejiang Province, China, is internationally renowned for its seal carving tradition.

The Unit of Weight “Ryō”

“Ryō” is a traditional Chinese unit of weight used to indicate the capacity of Indei.
A 1.5 Ryō size contains approximately 45 grams, offering a balanced volume suitable for frequent use and medium to large seal stones.
