Four Star Benihana Star is lamp soot ink made from rapeseed soot and high-quality glue.
When thickened, it produces a subdued black, while when thinned, it has a strong gray hue, similar to thin blue ink.
When thickened, it is good for works where you want to emphasize the black, and is ideal for kanji and kana works.
