Calligraphy Classics Series Vol. 15: Thousand-Character Classic in Regular & Cursive
Zhiyong is thought to be the seventh-generation grandson of Wang Xizhi, and he left behind elegant calligraphy in the style of Wang Xizhi. There are several versions of the "Mansho Thousand Character Classics," but this is a reproduction of the only original, the "Ogawa version." The rich, well-modulated brushstrokes make it an ideal model. Written in both regular and cursive script, that is, regular and cursive, it is particularly popular as a model for cursive script. Therefore, we've included explanations suitable for beginners, including key radicals and the cursive forms of parts.
