Iroha 0.5-chō (Nihon Seiboku)

This oil soot ink is made from rapeseed soot collected at an old plum orchard and oil soot made from the highest quality glue. Its excellent spreadability makes it ideal for kana writing. Its thick ink produces a lustrous pure black, while its lighter ink produces a brownish black.

*While we have sufficient product in stock, ink is only manufactured during a limited period of the year, from November to March. If it is out of stock, you will have to wait approximately one year for the next shipment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding.
*Ink does not tolerate sudden temperature changes, direct sunlight, or high humidity. After use, thoroughly wipe off any moisture from the ink grinder and store it in the paulownia wood box or paper box it came in when you purchased it. Store it in a desk drawer or wooden box.
