Shōran 1.0-chō (Nihon Seiboku)

Ikimatsu Pine Soot Ink is made from smoke extracted from pine resin. The tranquil color of pure pine soot ink is a calm, absorbent black when used in thick ink, and a soft, gentle color when used in thin ink, with a subtle, mysterious blue hue. It is said that pine soot ink becomes increasingly blue as it ages.

*Ink does not tolerate sudden temperature changes, direct sunlight, or high humidity. After use, thoroughly wipe off any moisture from the ink brush head and store it in the paulownia wood or paper box it came in, in a desk drawer or wooden box, etc.
