Koyagiri: Copying Ancient Calligraphy

Koyagiri is the oldest surviving copy of the "Kokin Wakashu," and has long been revered as a research resource for the history of Japanese literature and the Japanese language.
It has also been revered since ancient times as the pinnacle of kana calligraphy.
It has been said to be a work by Ki no Tsurayuki, but a different theory is currently widely accepted.
Its elegant and noble style is beloved as the foundation of kana art.
